Hi! My name is Kimberly Reese and I have been a proud resident of Oakland City since October 2015. I grew up in Southwest Atlanta, but left Atlanta to attend school and find work. After spending nearly 10 years out-of-state, I jumped at the chance to take a job back in Atlanta. I searched long and hard for a home in a tight knit community like the one I grew up in, and almost immediately fell in love with Oakland City. I have always admired the historic architecture of Oakland City and West End, but I was also excited to hear about some of the positive changes coming like the Beltline.
Before I had even purchased my home, my neighbors introduced themselves and immediately embraced me, which made my decision a no-brainer. I love my new neighborhood and hope to spend a lot of years here creating memories. It reminds me of the Atlanta I grew up in when you knew your neighbors by name and looked out for one another. I also love being close to downtown and other up and coming neighborhoods. I am excited to see what the future holds for Oakland City and the rest of the Westside.
In my spare time I enjoy entertaining my family and friends in my new home, and I am also active at nearby Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church. Moving to Oakland City was one of the best decisions that I have made!
