A HUGE thank you goes out to the parents, young athletes, coaches and staff of Soccer in the Streets for the success of the Oakland City Soccer Program at the Reverend James Orange Park last Fall. Overall, the Fall season was a success but it still has room for growth. The goal is to increase the amount of kids in the program by connecting more with kids who are not part of the after-school program, and include Oakland City in all of the Spring season games. The Westside Conference Spring Season starts on March 10th and ends on May 27th. The last game of the season will be their Annual Parent vs Kids Game.
The Oakland City program practices on Monday and Wednesdays from 4-5:15pm at the James Orange Park. All practices are co-ed and the age groups are 5-12 years old. Kemar Brown and Rajay Banton are the Oakland City coaches. They have high levels of professional soccer experience and currently play for the Atlanta Silverbacks.
