Free Summer meals at the Oakland City West End Apartments

Free meals will run a summer meals program for children from May 26th till July 29th. Non-residents of the apartments from ages 2 to 18 can participate in the program for lunch from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM. Individuals with a mental or physical disability between the ages of 19 and 26 may also attend if they are currently attending a school for the disabled. Meals will be served every 30 minutes and only 50 children will be served at a time. The program will run Monday to Friday except on Memorial Day and 4th of July. The organizers are in extreme need for volunteers for this program. The food is being provided and volunteers only need to serve the food and monitor the children. The Kroc Center provides free transportation to and from its after school program

This program is perfect for the child who is looking to expand their horizons in the field of performing arts. Elementary-aged children are picked up from selected nearby elementary schools and cared for until 5pm. Their day is filled with activities which include gym time, snack, homework, devotions, and art programming such as painting, drawing, dancing and music. Applications are taken year round and enrollment for each year begins in July. Space is limited. Please call 404.638.7209 for more information.

The Urban League and NPU-S will be hosting Employment and Career Service Center Intake
