Yesterday, neighbor Veronica Squires presented at the Park Pride and Greenspace Conference 2016 on how to make your park vision of play into a reality. She, along with two other panelists shared their successful strategies that lead to the development of playful parks for visitors of all ages.
It was so inspiring to hear Veronica talk about the Reverend James Orange Park’s visioning process with the City of Atlanta’s Office of Park Design, which lead to the re-opening of the beautiful, unique, pool and splash pad in Oakland City. Veronica gave credit to our neighbor Amy Johnson, who was also very instrumental in the visioning and development process. We are looking forward to even more improvements at the park and adjoining teen center in the future.
